As Starbucks Licensees added to or remodeled locations, Starbucks engaged EMG to be their image compliance and retrofit “police.” EMG conducted assessments of existing locations for non-compliance elements or required upgrades. In addition, EMG verified that image, branding, and equipment met Starbucks standards across the country, including sites inside Target stores.
After a preliminary sample at 20% of Target locations, EMG verified compliance at all Licensee stores across the country. This included initial assessments as well as follow-up compliance visits—all for a fixed fee at any location in the country. There was an emphasis on continuous improvement, continually updating all processes as we learned more along the way.
