Case Study

Texas A&M University

In 2015, EMG completed a facilities condition assessment of Texas A&M University’s College Station athletic facilities. EMG’s comprehensive assessment will provide the University detailed report on the condition of each facility, forecast maintenance requirements.  EMG’s field teams of architects and engineers collected and populated all data in 4tell Solutions real estate portfolio database, iPlan™.

The assessments include an evaluation of site improvements, architectural and structural systems, mechanical and plumbing systems, and finishes.  The resulting detailed narratives capture deferred maintenance, code compliance requirements, and lifecycle replacement requirements.

EMG is presenting the University with comprehensive narrative condition reports detailing observed deficiencies, along with estimated remediation costs. The narrative reports and information exported directly from the iPlan will be used to prepare budget requests presented to the University Board of Regents and the State of Texas.

In addition to the condition assessment – EMG collected make model and serial number of key equipment into iPlan™.  At the end of the project, a complete updated component inventory was populated to the CMMS system “aggie works” a customized Asset Works implementation.
